The 2021 MG ZS is a front-wheel drive four-door wagon that was released to the Australian market on September 2020. It’s the most affordably priced, five-seater family SUV on the market in Australia. The 2021 MG ZS is the Chinese brand’s entry-level SUV and offers a choice of two powertrains and two trim levels. 

The ZS is a front-wheel drive 4-door with 5 seats, powered by a 1.5L INLINE 4 engine that has 84 kW of power (at 6000 rpm) and 150 Nm of torque (at 4500 rpm) via a Four-speed Automatic. MG claims the ZS uses 7.1L/100km of Unleaded Petrol in the combined city and highway cycle while putting out 165g of CO2. It has a 48L fuel tank, meaning it should be able to travel 676km per full tank.

The ZS measures 1644mm (64.7 inches) in height, 4314mm (169.8 inches) in length, and 1809mm (71.2 inches) in width with a 2585mm (101.8 inches) wheelbase that brings about a total of 1255kg (2766.8 lbs) of unladen weight. 

The 2021 MG ZS has a 164mm ground clearance with a 500kg braked and 500kg unbraked towing capacity.

It also has a four-star rating from ANCAP based on testing conducted in 2017.

It received a score of 10.46 out of 16 in the frontal offset crash test, a side impacts score of 16 out of 16, and whiplash and pedestrian protection scores of Good and Acceptable, respectively. Its overall score was 31.46 out of 37.

All 2021 MG ZS models come standard with front, front-side and curtain airbags and anti-lock brakes, however, there are no active safety features available.
